Description

We currently have a vacancy for an Interface Designer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. 

Your tasks

  • Front-end development for low-code application frameworks such as PowerApps;
  • Visual prototyping of UI solutions such as designing (low- and high-fidelity) wireframes, mock-ups, and storyboards which lead to an intuitive user experience;
  • Design and development of UI solutions for different web products and platforms, including showing styling, use of typography, images, text, the definition of Information Architecture, interaction workflows, and navigation;
  • Creation of graphical elements including illustrations, visuals, infographics, data visualizations, etc;
  • Definition of user-centered evaluations of UI solutions, identifying key usability problems and providing recommendations on how to solve them (including the participation in usability studies with users);
  • Front-end development of responsive UI solutions following good coding practices, including creation/correction of CSS and transforming mock-ups into semantic HTML and development of innovative solutions for different platforms as well as integration with DBs or other server-side logic.

Requirements

  • University degree in IT or relevant discipline combined with 13 years of relevant experience;
  • At least 5 years of experience in web technologies, frameworks, and standards such as HTML, XHTML, CSS and jQuery development, W3C, accessibility, SEO, JavaScript, Angular, React, Vue, web/visual design, graphical and prototyping tools, and software;
  • At least 5 years of experience in design and graphical tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Xd;
  • At least 3 years of experience in wireframing and interactive prototyping design tools such as Balsamiq, InVision, UxPin, Framer.js or similar and Microsoft Visual Studio;
  • At least 3 years of experience in UX design best practices, including user interface ergonomics, knowledge of responsive design, data protection, and security principles;
  • At least 3 years of experience in user-centered design principles and methodologies, including the development of usability test plans for all stages of a project life-cycle based on defined target audiences, personas, and user stories;
  • At least 3 years of experience in web ergonomics, usability and accessibility, fundamental visual and typographic design disciplines, principles, prototyping, wireframing, interaction flows, information architecture, and user testing;
  • At least 1 year of experience in customization of collaborative tools such as Atlassian’s Confluence or similar, Jira, user testing through all stages of a project, including different techniques, methods of testing, cross-browser compatibility, and testing;
  • Excellent command of the English language.
